Selaković: BRIC Countries Firmly In Favor of Abiding By Resolution No. 1244
Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković stated that things at the recent United Nations Security Council session on Kosovo and Metohija were different than before.
“The countries who support our position, both permanent and non-permanent members of the Security Council, have been very clear, firm and principled in their support to Serbian policy. And not only the representatives of Serbia and China, but also the permanent representative of India, who spoke clearly and concisely, and the permanent representative of Brazil, who went into detail on why it is important to abide by the Resolution No. 1244,” said Selaković.
Selaković also pointed out the address by the representative of Ghana, a country that has retracted its recognition of self-proclaimed Kosovo, saying that he spoke very clearly in favor of the Serbian policy.
“The so-called recognizers of the so-called independence of Kosovo were weaker and less convincing in their support. Unanimously, which has perhaps never happened before, they all condemned the ban on holding the election on April 3 and the referendum on January 16, and they all called for the necessary implementation of the obligations stated in the Brussels Agreement,” stated Selaković.
