“Every person is a servant of what they say, and should be held accountable for their words,” said Nikola Selaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, concerning the move by the Italian ambassador to express solidarity with the Croatian people in Jasenovac.

Selaković pointed out that the Serbian people have long ago realized that Serbian tears have no other parent but the Serbian people, nobody will understand those tears if Serbians themselves don’t understand it, and nobody shall commemorate Serbian victims and suffering if Serbians don’t themselves.

“We know our position and will not be changing it, as it concerns the genocide of Serbian people in the so-called Independent State of Croatia,” said Selaković to TV Pink.
