The NATO air force targeted the “Bor 3” power station on the premises of the Bor Mining and Smelting Basin, not far from the city center, injuring six people. Veselin Savović, Director of the Copper Smelter and Refinery in Bor, said that all metallurgy capacities in this copper plant were forcibly stopped following the shelling of the Mining and Smelting Basin.
The power station on the premises of the “Sartid” factory in Smederevo was hit. Strong detonations were heard in the wider area of Požarevac. A television relay, a medicinal herb factory, a sheep farm and a food warehouse were targeted in Gora in Kosovo and Metohija.
The Pentagon blocked a NATO plan to deploy “Apache” combat helicopters in the attack on Serbian troops, fearing for the safety of their pilots, reported the New York Times. The daily also added that the Pentagon is concerned about possibly spreading the conflict to Albania if they use those helicopters.
