Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday a Belgrade bypass would be the transport lifeblood of the capital city as well as the entire country.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the construction works to build the bypass, Vucic said that, in these difficult times for everyone, Serbia must work and build, diligently and with commitment, and keep looking at itself and work on its own economic progress.

“This bypass is the lifeblood for Belgrade and entire Serbia and perhaps the most significant road route, which, however, is not talked about much, but it will solve innumerable problems for us, for everyone in Serbia,” Vucic said.

It is important to finish it by the end of March, which will cost 1 bln euros, he said.

“Could it be finished sooner? I would like it to be – I have asked the Chinese and Azerbaijani partners for that. Thus far, they managed to deliver every time I asked them,” Vucic said.Be the first to add a reactionNo labels
