The Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović stated that he had not heard any valid arguments why the Open Balkan is not good for Montenegro, and confirmed that he will attend the Open Balkan Summit in Ohrid, where he was invited by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

“Any regional initiative that may speed up the integration is something we ought to accept. If someone has an idea to replace European integration, we are not interested. But realistically, I have heard no valid arguments supporting the claim that Open Balkan is not good for Montenegro. If it is not good for a party or a politician, they can say so. But I have heard no valid arguments for the country.”

He emphasized that he had a nice and fair conversation with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.

“Montenegro and its government will lead a reconciliatory policy with all of its neighbors. Our hand is extended to everybody, especially Serbia. Our relations with Serbia have been unnecessarily tense,” he pointed out.
