As in the past, this May, in the gates of the Church of St George, “there is a wedding dance”. The descendants of the old Prizren families Radvojević and Šemić were married today in Prizren.

Per the wishes of Lazar and Zorana, they were married with a liturgy, in the presence of several hegumens and numerous priests of the Serbian Orthodox Church’s Raška-Prizren Eparchy.

The groom, who was born in Switzerland, and the bride, a Prizren native, were brought together by the city on the Bistrica, the hometown of their parents.

The wedding was organized according to the customs practiced in Potkaljaja, the oldest part of Prizren, until the war in 1999.
