Minister of Foreign of Russia Sergey Lavrov will travel for a two-day visit to Serbia on June 6 and 7, confirmed Maria Zakharova, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the Russian state media.

According to her, Lavrov will meet with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade, as well as other high-ranking state officials.

“Lavrov will be visiting Serbia on June 6 and 7. He is planning to meet with the President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the President of the National Assembly, and the Serbian Patriarch,” said Zakharova at the briefing.

She also added that the planned topics for the discussion with Serbian officials include the political and economical cooperation between Russia and Serbia, as well as other current issues in international policy.

As a reminder, Vučić has previously spoken on the issue of Lavrov’s visit to Serbia, saying that it is becoming complicated, which part of the public interpreted as the result of the conditions posed by Germany.
