
Economic Situation in Srpska Stable Despite Challenges
Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska, Zora Vidović, said at a meeting with the head of the World Bank Office in BiH and Montenegro, Christopher Sheldon, that the economic situation in Srpska was stable despite global disruptions and challenges facing all countries.
Vidović mentioned that Republika Srpska would make adjustments on the basis of economic indicators, which were regularly monitored, in order to provide protection of the most endangered population in the light of rising inflation, while fulfilling all planned budget obligations, the relevant ministry announced.
Vidović and Sheldon talked in Banja Luka about current issues in the field of finance and joint projects that are being implemented in Republika Srpska, as well as projects that are in preparation.
The meeting discussed the current cooperation, which in the post covid period was based on supporting the recovery from the economic consequences of the pandemic, while activities on the mid-term plan of support were also considered, in terms of having a great role in the areas of agriculture, forestry, water management, health care, transportation, as well as the projects of energy efficiency.
It was mutually concluded that the cooperation is at an extremely high level, and that the projects in implementation are being realized in accordance with the plan. It was also jointly assessed that the successful cooperation would continue in the future.
