
Jokic to Play for Serbia at Eurobasket 2022
Denver Nuggets centre Nikola Jokic will play for Serbia at EuroBasket 2022, the Basketball Federation of Serbia announced on Wednesday.
Mundobasket 2019 in China, at which Serbia took the fifth place, was the last competition where Jokic featured for the national team.
Previously, Jokic won the silver medal with Serbia at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Jokic was named the NBA MVP in 2021 and 2022.
Serbia will face Latvia in Riga on June 30 and Balgium in Nis three days later as part of their Mundobasket 2023 qualifying campaign, which will continue at the end of August.
At EuroBasket 2022, to be held from September 1 through 18, Serbia will take on the Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, the Netherlands and Finland.
