Croatians Cannot Enjoy Their Coffee Next to a Serbian Flag
The flag of Serbia was displayed at the Croatian Minute Movie Cup, the oldest international film festival in Croatia. The festival is showing 60 movies by authors from various countries across the world, and two of the entries are from Serbia. The flags of the authors’ countries were displayed at the Holy Trinity Square in the center of Požega, including a flag of Serbia.
However, the flag of Serbia was only on display for a few days, seeng as a young man climbed the flag post on Monday and took it down, reported the Croatian Index.
The local news portal požeški.hr reported that the locals were bothered by the flag of Serbia, which “they had to look at for days while drinking their coffee”. As reported, that “caused intense protest, seeing as Požega and Požeština lost a lot of sons and fathers in the aggression in 1991”.
