The Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said today in Bratunac that during the past patriotic-defense war in the area of Middle Podrinje and Birač, a crime against Serbs was committed not only at the time of the commission of the crime but also afterward because the Serbian victims were inadequately treated.

“No court has taken into account the fact, not even history itself, that more than 3,500 Serbs, children and women, perished here”, Dodik told reporters in Bratunac, where he attended a memorial service for all Serbian victims of the patriotic-defense war from Middle Podrinje and Birač.

Dodik pointed out that the area of Birač and Middle Podrinje is one of the places of suffering, saying that Srpska will help the families of those killed and that Srpska will remember this so that in the future it could be what it wants.

“Republika Srpska is the conscience of all those who suffered and had the idea and desire for Srpska to exist and survive, and we who lead the Republic today have a vow to those who suffered that the love for Srpska must be even stronger and stronger”, said Dodik.

Dodik has said that he is grateful to His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije for being in Bratunac today to mark the 30th anniversary of the suffering of Serbs in Middle Podrinje and Birač.

The Serbian member of the BiH Presidency pointed out that, regardless of everything it lost due to unfair centralization in BiH, Srpska is a strong factor in political and social life in BiH.

“We are not giving up on the Dayton Agreement and its letter, and we will do everything to ensure that the sacrifices made for Republika Srpska are not in vain”, said Dodik.

He assessed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a bad place for Serbs and Republika Srpska and that this is clear.

“We have been pushed here, and that was done by the Western factor that has been trying for years and decades to marginalize Republika Srpska, desecrate its rights, and take away what belongs to it”, added Dodik.

He feels that all means are used in all of this and that the courts are trying to write inaccurate history and leave some quasi-facts in the historiography.

Dodik has added that Muslims are only focused on crimes committed against them and that it is impossible that so many people died in just ten days in 1995 in this area.

“That was not the case because it is known that Bosniaks also died there during all the war years, and they concentrate it on just one week, and that clearly speaks of a fraud that is visible”, said Dodik.

He reiterated that, on the other hand, more than 3,500 Serbs were killed in this area from 1991 to 1995, and that the BiH judiciary and some institutions consider this normal.
