The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković stated today that Priština ought to carefully think about their actions, and pointed out that Belgrade’s message to the international community is that they ought to reason with the Prime Minister of the provisional institutions Albin Kurti and bring him back around to dialogue.

Speaking on yesterday’s raid by the Regional Operational Support Units in Štrpci, Petković told the RTS that Kurti continues to terrorize Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, that he refuses dialogue, shuts down agreements, tries to humiliate the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and is absolutely committed to going forward in the direction of destabilization in Kosovo and Metohija.

He added that this was the third raid in Štrpci since the beginning of the year, and pointed out that Priština always chooses a big holiday, assessing that the aim is to elicit a negative reaction either from our people in Kosovo and Metohija or from Belgrade.

He pointed out that Belgrade will not watch those raids and attacks silently, aimed against the security and survival of our people in Kosovo and Metohija.

Petković said that Kurti is using all means available to cause a war in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, and trying to jeopardize dialogue. He pointed out that it was necessary to move forward with the creation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities.
