
Dodik Introduced Vučić, Patriarch and Members of Synod With Difficulties of Serb People in Bosnia
Today, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, has introduced the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, and members of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) with the situation in BiH, with special reference to Republika Srpska, as well as all the difficulties that Serb people face west of the Drina river, press service of the President of Serbia announced.
The announcement states that members of the Synod asked the President of Serbia and the Serb member of the BiH Presidency to endure in conducting an autonomous and independent foreign policy.
Patriarch Porfirije and members of the Synod, who have been, together with Dodik, received by the President of Serbia in Belgrade today, pointed out the necessity of national unity and the preservation of the vital interests of the Serbian people as a whole.
Accordingly, they expressed concern about the position of religious education in the Serb education system and asked for support from the President of Serbia in order to change the state’s position on the issue.
Vučić informed the collocutors about the progress of the talks being held under the shield of the EU about Kosovo and Metohija, about the situation in Serbian communities in the southern Serbian province, and about the economic and social situation in Serbia and its international position.
