
President of Srpska Met With American Delegation
At a meeting today in Washington with Senators Ron Johnson and Jean Shaheen, Republika Srpska President Željka Cvijanović said that understanding and internal dialogue between domestic political factors, without interference from outside, are needed in order to overcome the current political crisis and resolve open issues that burden relations in Bosnia.
Cvijanović informed senators and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the current political challenges facing Republika Srpska and Bosnia and other current topics.
Cvijanović said at the meeting that Republika Srpska’s institutions are fully committed to preserving peace and stability, respecting the Dayton Peace Accords and preserving the powers and constitutional capacity of Republika Srpska, the office of the Republika Srpska president announced.
During her working visit to the USA, Cvijanović will also meet with Congressman Ro Khan, the Special US Representative to the Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, and representatives of the civil sector, institutes and the business community.
