Serb member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Presidency, Milorad Dodik, has told SRNA that a group of US senators’ initiative to pass a law that would ensure NATO deploying a military mission in BiH, if Russia blocks the continuation of EUFOR mission in November this year, is occupation and unnecessary raise of tensions.

Asked to comment on the senator’s initiative for the USA to use its influence in NATO to encourage the planning and support of international military forces to maintain and secure environment in BiH, especially if Russia blocks the continuation of the EUFOR mission at the UN Security Council session, and to strengthen the NATO headquarters in Sarajevo, Dodik tells SRNA that no one challenged EUFOR mission and that this initiative represents a classic example of the occupation of a sovereign country.

Dodik has repeated that BiH is stable and peaceful. “As far as internal unrest and threats to security are concerned, Bosnia and Herzegovina is stable in this respect. The policy of Republika Srpska is clear – peace and military neutrality,” said Dodik.
