Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday Serbia’s natural gas reserves were at an all-time high.

“Two hundred and sixty-two million cubic metres of gas has been secured in our part of the Banatski Dvor storage facility, and we have purchased an additional 200 mln cubic metres that we are storing in Hungary, for Serbia’s needs only,” Vucic wrote in a post on the buducnostsrbijeav Instagram profile.

“We are overhauling all the thermal power generation capacities we can, we are trying to get to new coal overburden layers and, all in all, I am certain that Serbian citizens will have at least a slightly less cold winter than we had expected,” Vucic added.
