
Serbian Long Jumper Spanovic Vuleta Wins European Gold
Serbian long jumper Ivana Spanovic Vuleta won the gold medal at the European Athletics Championships in Munich late on Thursday.
Spanovic Vuleta produced an excellent 7.06 m leap already in the first round and retained the number one position until the end.
This is Spanovic Vuleta’s second European title and her seventh career gold medal from major competitions.
The silver medal went to Germany’s Malaika Mihambo (7.03 m), while Briton Jazmin Sawyers won the bronze (6.80 m).
Milica Gardasevic, the other Serbian finalist, finished in seventh place with a 6.52 m jump.
