We have stated our position on the matter of imposing sanctions on Russia 190 days ago, through the decisions of the National Security Council. In doing so, Serbia had demonstrated that it is serious and that we have our own beliefs that do not have to align with the beliefs of those who think that they can exert direct influence on how policy is made in Serbia, said the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.

“That is our policy. At this time we are not even considering changing our policy, and it is my belief that this has proven itself to be a smart choice, regardless of all the pressure. If I only spoke about everything that we have been put through because of our refusal to impose sanctions, some would call it a cheap novel or a tall tale,” said Vučić.
