Graffiti appeared this morning at the site where member of the special forces of the so-called Kosovo* Police Enver Zymberi was killed in 2011. It reads: “We are here! We are waiting!”

The graffiti was signed by the “North Brigade”, and similar graffiti were also sprayed on streets and and buildings in North Mitrovica, as well as other locations in the north of Kosovo and Metohija over the last several weeks, after Priština’s decision about implementing reciprocity for Serbian documents and increased presence of the special police forces in the north.

Three days ago, Albin Kurti visited the north of Kosovo and Metohija, the base of the so-called Kosovo* Police in Zubin Potok and the Camp Belvedere in South Mitrovica. He also paid his respects to Enver Zymberi at the site of his death, not far from Zubin Potok, where a memorial plaque for him was installed.

According to Koha, Kurti’s visit was not well received by the Serbs in the north. The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija in the Government of Serbia Petar Petković said that “Kurti had no business in the north of Kosovo and Metohija”.
