More than a third of citizens of North Macedonia believe that Serbia is the greatest ally of their country, research conducted by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation has shown.

As the research shows, relating to the perception of which country is the greatest ally of North Macedonia, Serbia is in the first place with 37.4%. The respondents also have positive impressions about the quality of mutual relations between North Macedonia and Serbia, as 68.95% believe.

Nearly two thirds, that is, 65.7% of respondents supported the “Open Balkan” project, while 15% did not, which means that there is 50.7% more of those who support this form of closer collaboration between North Macedonia, Albania and Serbia.

This survey of public opinion in North Macedonia, conducted during August 2022 on 1,111 respondents was published in the publication “30 Years of Foreign Policy and Defense”.
