The Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić stated that the leadership of Croatia, which is a member of the European Union, was cultivating Ustashism, and that it was no wonder that the popularity of the Union, which is remaining silent on the matter, is dropping in Serbia.

“How am I supposed to defend the popularity of the European Union in Serbia when we have heard nothing from Brussels after Zagreb publicly said that it would block Serbia’s European path just because we demanded justice for the Serbian children killed on the Petrovac road? Maybe they did speak behind closed doors. We have heard nothing,” said Brnabić for the Pink Television.

She assessed that it was incredibly cynical that the Croatian tabloid magazine Express had a cover depicting the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and the Prime Ministers of Italy and Hungary with Hitler mustaches, headlined, “Croatia Between Three Mini Fascists”.

“That is a remarkable act of cynicism from a country, that is, a leadership, that actively cultivates Ustashism,” Brnabić said.

She pointed out that there was not a single event either in Croatia or by Croatians across the world where symbols of the Independent State of Croatia were not displayed, but that same Croatia is accusing others, reminding that Croatia banned the President of Serbia from visiting Jasenovac and laying flowers at the site of the Ustasha concentration camp as a descendant of a victim.
