EU Decision Unacceptable, Harmful and Unjust
Serb member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Milorad Dodik, says the EU decision made at Croatia’s request to block the flow of Russian oil through the Adria oil pipeline and prevent the supply of Russian oil to Serbia is unacceptable, harmful and unfair.
“By sanctioning the Russian Federation, the EU has extended the policy of punishment to Serbia, but also to the Balkan region, including Republika Srpska,” pointed out Dodik.
He stated that the Janaf oil pipeline has an unresolved status.
“The Brod oil refinery in Republika Srpska paid a significant amount for the construction of Janaf, which Croatia never accepted, but usurped the rights and property of the oil pipeline,” Dodik commented on Twitter.
He says it is the right time to put this issue on the agenda and determine the right structure of oil pipeline ownership.
EU member states voted yesterday on the eighth package of sanctions against Russia, which this time also aims to limit the price of oil that Russia exports to third countries outside the EU.
At the insistence of Croatia, headed by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, that package also includes Serbia, because it will no longer be able to import Russian oil through Janaf.
