Petar Petković Banned From Attending Enthronement of the Patriarch
The authorities of the provisional institutions in Priština have banned the director of the Government of Serbia’s Office for Kosovo And Metohija Petar Petković from visiting Kosovo and Metohija and attending the enthronement of His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije at the Patriarchate of Peć on Friday, October 14, announced the Office.
The Office pointed out that this was the tenth instance where the authorities in Priština led by the Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Kosovo Albin Kurti have demonstrated force and arbitrarily forbid Petković from visiting the southern Serbian province.
This represents a flagrant violation of the Brussels Agreement, both the one on freedom of movement and the one on official visits, which provided for a simplified procedure for the lead negotiator for dialogue with Priština (Petar Petković) to visit Kosovo and Metohija, the Office pointed out.
