The Hungarian Member of the European Parliament and member of the Hungarian Fidesz Andor Deli said today that he was not convinced that the request for mutual recognition between Belgrade and Priština was a good and realistic solution.

He stressed that the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština certainly ought to continue, as well as that it was high time to implement the long-ago signed agreements, such as the one about the Association of Serbian Municipalities.

Regarding the demand of the European Union that Serbia join the sanctions against Russia, the Hungarian Member of the European Parliament said that Serbia ought to go after its own interests and protect the interests of its citizens. He assessed that sanctions were not a solution and that they created further problems and complications and made life more difficult for all European citizens, regardless of which country they resided in.
