Continuity of Heirs of Communist Power in Montenegro Finally Broken
The total collapse of the Democratic Party of Socialists is the main takeaway from the Montenegro local elections yesterday.
The Democratic Party of Socialists, which was in power in several municipalities in Montenegro, has lost in Podgorica, Zeta Kolašin, Danilovgrad, Šavnik and Pljevlja. Those cities have been freed of the shackles of the Democratic Party of Socialists, whereas Budva, Tivat and Plužine were left without the presence of the Democratic Party of Socialists in the executive government.
The Bosniak Party won the election in Rožaje.
The Democratic Party of Socialists, along with its coalition partners, can hope to stay in power in Bijelo Polje, Bar and Plav.
It is clearly shown in this way that the Democratic Party of Socialists is in Montenegro’s political past.
