The President of Serbia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić issued an official order today to momentarily destroy all enemy unmanned aerial vehicles in the territory of central Serbia.

The President decided to take this step following an incident which occurred in the area above Merdar and in the surroundings of Raška, where unidentified drones observed military barracks and positions of the Serbian Army, reported the Novosti.

With the aim of preventing further enemy activity, Serbian MiG-29’s took off in an action of tailing and possibly attacking the enemy aerial vehicles. Shortly after, the spotted aircraft left the airspace of central Serbia. Had they not done so, they would have been destroyed, as an order had been issued to immediately deploy anti-aircraft weapons.
