The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dačić said at a press conference held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that it was time to clarify some things — whether the Brussels Agreement existed or not.

“It is time that the European Union and everyone else weighs in on whether it exists or not, instead of making new ones while not respecting the old ones. Serbs are fighting for the Brussels Agreement that Albin Kurti tore down. They have a legitimate right to defend their own interests. Serbs from Kosovo will no longer be participating in that,” Dačić said following his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Abdulla Shahid.

The Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the chief negotiator of the European Union Miroslav Lajčak had told him that everybody in Europe has had it with Albin Kurti, and that they were aware that Belgrade was constructive.

“So what is going to happen now, is Kurti going to get a slap on the wrist? If the European Union and the United States are unable to deal with Kurti, then what are we talking about? Europe could admit that they had lied to us in order to get us to sign the Brussels Agreement. It is time for everyone to show what they stand for, even the European Union,” said Dačić.
