Republika Srpska President, Milorad Dodik, has said today in Banjaluka that by marking the initialing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, Srpska proved that it is independent in making decisions.

“We will also decide on marking many other days in a way we think it corresponds to our way of life and constitutional-legal position,” Dodik told the press.

He pointed out that Republika Srpska is not interested in what is being done in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/.

“I have not been interested in what they are doing in the Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) for a long time, unless it threatens us. We no longer have to hold tight the Dayton Peace Agreement, because others have defiled it to the extent that it is irreparable, so we will see how things will unfold,” added Dodik.

He emphasizes that Republika Srpska being strong and stable is important.

“There is no more discomfort when internationals ask for something. We know what we want, and it is our Republic and a constitutional BiH or we will leave it when we decide. The only successful policy is to be legitimate and legal in terms of respecting the Constitution,” says Dodik.

He says that Republika Srpska has not done anything to the detriment of Bosnia and Herzegovina and respects the Constitution of BiH.

“In contrast to this, a lot has been done to the detriment of Republika Srpska. In any case, Srpska is ready to fight for constitutionality. We will keep restoring the competences, such as the story about the medicine agency,” said Dodik.
