Albin Kurti Delayed Implementation of Fines for 48 Hours
The original plan was for sirens to go off in the northeen part of Kosovska Mitrovica at 5 AM, barricades were due to go up as early as 6 AM, which would be two hours prior to the beginning of issuing fines, at 8 AM.
However, it is now clear that this will not occur.
This now changes the situation, and it appears as though Albin Kurti has yielded to pressure and that he will be revoking the law on re-registration.
If that should come to pass, then what remains is the problem and the unresolved issue of what will happen to Kosovo and Metohija licence plates once the current registrations expire, given that the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić has stated that Kosovo and Metohija plates would no longer be issued.
