Vučić: Request to Return Serbian Forces to Kosovo and Metohija on Thursday
The Government of Serbia will be sending a request to the KFOR command to reinstate Serbian armed forces in Kosovo and Metohija on Thursday, after a session of the Government, said the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.
Vučić stated that after a reception which he organized for the Petrović family from Velika Hoča, who had 42,000 liters of wine seized by the Priština authorities in a dramatic action.
Commenting on a statement by the German Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock that the return of Serbian armed forces and police to Kosovo was unacceptable, Vučić said that “she had spoken for the commander of the KFOR, who has not even received the request yet”.
“The commander of the KFOR will receive the request on Thursday, after a session of the Government of Serbia,” said Vučić.
Vučić stated that any statement by Annalena Baerbock and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell ought to be analyzed in minute detail, focusing on why they were made. “It is my fear that Borrell’s reaction is only a consequence of the attack that he was put under once he pointed a finger to the real culprit for the breakdown of discussions in Brussels,” said Vučić.
